Ginger Honey Chicken

This is a simple recipe for making Ginger Honey Chicken which can be served on a bed of rice along with stir-fried vegetables (optional).

What you will need:

2 pounds diced uncooked chicken breast
1/3 cup flour
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Pepper to taste
4 Tbsp. butter (not margarine)

The "Secret" Sauce
1/4 cup Tu-Bees Gourmet Ginger Honey
3 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
1/2 tsp. ground ginger (optional - add only if you REALLY love a strong tasting ginger)

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In a shallow dish combine the flour, garlic powder and pepper. Dip each piece of chicken into the flour mixture and make sure it is evenly covered. Melt 2 Tbsp. of butter in a shallow baking dish, large enough to accommodate the chicken in a single layer. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes, then turn the pieces over. In a small saucepan, melt the remaining butter and add the
Tu-Bees Gourmet Ginger Honey, lemon juice, soy sauce and ginger (if you want a strong ginger taste). Pour the mixture over the chicken and continue to bake another 30 minutes. Be sure to mix the chicken around or continuously baste it while it is cooking. Serve the chicken over a bed of rice or as a side dish with rice and stir-fried vegetables.

For Baste-Free Chicken:
Fry chicken just until it is cooked.  Put your chicken into a slow cooker and pour the sauce over it, stirring occasionally.  Cook for 1 - 2 hours on high. Your chicken will turn out incredibly tender without the need to baste.  Serve the chicken over a bed of rice or as a side dish with rice and stir-fried vegetables.
